Hello and welcome to my blog. I’m called Alex Robin and I’m a triathlete based in Scotland currently racing in the youth category(15-16).
I started swimming at City of Glasgow swim club at the age of 7. I then joined Fusion Triathlon club (age 8) after seeing them training across from my house in Bellahouston park which made me want to join in. I caught the triathlon bug and then joined Giffnock North AC a few years later.
I moved my way up the groups and qualified for my first IRC in 2018-my first taste of British racing. After coming third I qualified the following year again to come 4th. With no races happening in 2020 I just had to train all year for the 2021 season.
2021 was my first year racing British super series, which I found great fun because of how many new friends I made and because the racing was such a high level!
